I have an Acer Aspire M3470G desktop computer with default hardware. It just recently started rebooting each
time it gets to the Windows screen. Two colored dots appear and the computer reboots before the graphic even
forms the logo.
I tried taking the hard drive to work and hooked it up there and the problem followed the hard drive, leading
me to think it was a bad boot sector on the hard drive. Booting into safe mode without drivers led me to the
recovery screen. Windows recovery wasn't able to fix it so i bought a new hard drive.
I also purchased a fresh set of Recovery discs from Acer and attempted to restore the PC to factory settings.
Everything installed properly but i still have the rebooting problem, even with the new hard drive. I don't
believe it's overheating because it's been turned off all week. I don't suspect the power supply because it's
been working fine for about a year, but it might be a possibility.
Any suggestions?
