DVD not loading

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 5738 and bought a new DVD today.  When I inserted it, it made weird noises, as if it was trying to normally load the dvd, but then always being interrupted and stopping.  This happens repeatedly until I manually eject the DVD.  I tried another DVD and it worked perfectly fine.  I tried my new DVD in a different laptop and it worked perfectly fine.  I can see my DVD players etc and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver software...still same problem.

It appears to be the combination of the DVD and my laptop...any suggestions?

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards

Stefan
