I ran into a problem trying to restore Windows 7 O.S. to my acer aspire laptop ; Everything was going smoothly until the program requested insert disk 3 and click on O.K. so after following those directions the disk is ejected and get another prompt to insert disk 3 and click O.K.

    Hi johno98

It sounds as if disk 3 is corrupted. Do you still have your recovery partition? If you've never replaced your hard drive, it should still be there - try to re-install Windows from that. Restart your laptop, & on the Acer logo, press ALT & F10 key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.

Once Windows has installed, plus the usual updates, you will then be able to re-burn your recovery disks. Note that when burning them, there is an option to verify the disks afterwards. This will take longer, but will let you know if a burn fails.

If, however, you have a new HDD with no recovery partition, contact Acer support to buy replacement recovery disks.

    Hi rainfire1978

That's bizzare, that disk 3 fails.....!

As I said in reply to johno98, try the built in recovery option or contact Acer support for your region to buy recovery disks.
