Good evening, dear fellows using Acer computers and laptops.
I have come around with a pretty serious issue I've encountered a few hours ago (yes, indeed I struggled to do something but in this point, my knowledge in matter of BIOS is not enough).
For the beginning, I own an Acer 5252 laptop.
Since my wireless was disconnecting and reconnecting endlessly, I've reinstalled all the drivers that could face the problem, from the chipset to the ethernet controller. Nothing worked, obviously, perhaps I'm that unlucky person but, in the end, I decided to update the BIOS as well with the faith that something's going to happen. In the middle of the flashing process, my powersource stopped working (my battery has been resting in pieces since 2013, may) and it restarted. At that point, nothing happened. Nothing showed up anymore on the monitor, nothing seemed to be processed at all. Now, when I'm trying to open it, I can hear the cooler for like 20 seconds then it stops and that's it.
I suppose there's not a BIOS to boot from anymore so I'm asking for your advices to recover it without paying for tech support at the nearby service, s'il vous plait.
Here are some ideas I've had and tried without success:
1. Plug off the computer for a while from the powersource and try again (it does the same, unfortunately)
2. Press a few buttons on the keyboard (FN and F2, I think, seen this on another forum but it didn't work for me)
3. Try to flash the BIOS from an USB stick (somehow, it doesn't want to access that stick at all)
Merci beaucoup pour l'aide que vous m'avez apportée.
(Thank you for the help)
