Acer Aspire shut down and now no power

I have an Acer Aspire 7736Z-4088 that has been working great for the 2 years I had it up until recently.  The first time it acted up, it wouldn't recover from sleep mode and I had to force it to shut down.  Then it didn't want to turn back on at first, but I did get it to turn on.  That was the first time I had a problem and was about a month ago.  But then it ran great again after that until today.  My daughter was using it and was online when all of a sudden the computer just shut down.  After shutting down, it will not turn on.  I have tried all the discharging methods and it won't turn on with the AC or without AC.  I tried it with battery out and just AC in and nothing.  It is not the power cord, that I do know as I have another laptop and tried the power cord still nothing.

I am getting absolutely no lights when I try to turn it on, absolutely nothing.  Of course it is out of warranty too! I was not able to test anything because of the lack of a grounding strap, but I took the case off and it was very clean on the boards.  I do use the air in a can to keep it clean and the computer was not hot when it shut down.

Anybody have any suggestions?

If you are getting absolutely no light or activity, we would suggest having the unit looked at by a local repair shop or contact your local Acer office for information on a possible paid out of warranty repair.
