Acer Aspire 5332 BIOS reset

I'm a recently started IT Technician, and got a Acer Aspire 5332 with a dead Hard drive. For some reason there is a BIOS Password set up which the client has no memory of setting up. I need to enter BIOS in order to change the boot order to install windows on the new hard drive. There is no other key solely for boot order on the laptop.

How do I reset the password ? Without dissasembling the whole laptop ?

Thanks for any help

when you replace the HDD with the new one, there will be not booting device except windows DVD.

I think you do not need anything else. just replace HDD and then insert windows DVD then turn on aspire and you will be ok.

If you remove and then replace the bios battery for 30 seconds to 5 minutes it should reset the bios including any bios password

You really need to contact an Acer certified shop and ask if they have access to the Aspire 5732Z/5332 service guide. I suspect there is a jumper designed to clear the contents.
