We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.

This is why I rarely update a BIOS deliberately. When I do I first verify the update then connect the machine to a UPS (even if it has a battery). Start the update and leave the room. May look at the screen periodically but do not touch ANYTHING until done.

This is the fastest way I know to turn a PC into an expensive paperweight.

Still not the end of the world. If you can rip your BIOS image out of the update file I assume you downloaded from the Acer website you put it in the root of an empty usb drive and force the bios recovery tool to reinstall it even if your display won't turn on. Once you've put the image in the root of the usb unplug the device and remove the battery. Plug in the usb and press and hold FN and ESC. Plug the power cord in while still holding FN ESC and then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Don't let go of the FN ESC keys for roughly 30 seconds. I suggest using a drive with an activity led. When it starts flashing you know it's being read. Let the computer sit until it turns itself off. This can be 30 seconds or 10 minutes, there's no telling. If all goes well you should have a fully functional computer again.

For the record I agree with Padgett, there is very rarely a reason to update your BIOS unless you know there is something wrong with the one you have currently installed or if there is a critical fix has been issued for your version.
