Unable to Connect to Empowering Technology

I am unable to connect to Empowering Technology.  I think this may have started after upgrading my Aspire 7730 to Windows 7.  I tried re-installing the Launch Manager to no avail.

 

I am following a PC Magazine article for monitor calibration.  The first thing they want me to do is:

 

  • Set back to default resolution
  • Set color temp to 6500K or Warm
  • Set Picture Mode to Standard or User

I didn't see any way to do this, so thought settings might be the way to go.

    Right click in a empty section of the display (or long press) and select "sceen resolution". Can set resolution and it will automagically set to default if you press "detect". Standard vs vivid and screen temp are monitor settings.
