Prepare these stuff:
- An ICONIA W700 running preinstalled Windows 8 Single Language
- Advanced Tokens Manager ( http://joshcellsoftwares.com/products/advancedtokensmanager/ )
- Windows 8.1 Single Language ISO/USB (Mounted ISO working too)

The whole upgrade will take 2-4 hours

PART 1 - BACKING UP and INSTALLATION

 0. It is recommended to have the fresh Windows 8 by doing a factory reset
 1. Extract Advanced Tokens Manager (ATM), and perform the backup
 2. You will find a folder named "Activation Backup" with 3 files inside: data.dat, config.ini, and tokens.dat
     -  It is recommended to backup these files to another storage just in case
 3. Turn off your internet connection
 4. Open the Windows 8.1 upgrade ISO/USB
 5. Follow the instructions
 6. When asked for product key, use this key: BB6NG-PQ82V-VRDPW-8XVD2-V8P66
     -  Don't worry, we will restore the original key later
 7. The key should work, proceed
 8. The setup will take a long time, it is normal
 9. It will take very long time in shuffling color screen, especially the "Almost Ready" screen, don't worry

PART 2 - RESTORING THE LICENSE

 1. Open services.msc (type it from the search charms)
 2. Right click on "Software Protection" and click "Stop"
 3. Copy tokens.dat file from the "Activation Backup" folder to C:\Windows\system32\spp\store\2.0
 4. Rename data.dat file from "Activation Backup"  to "cache.dat"
 5. Copy the renamed cache.dat to C:\Windows\system32\spp\store\2.0\cache
 6. Right click on "Software Protection" and click "Start"
 7. Open the config.ini file from Activation Backup
 8. Run Command Prompt as Administrator
 9. Type: slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"
     -  Replace the XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with your product key from the config.ini file in the Activation Backup
 10. Hit enter, and restart

PART 3 - SOLVING THE PROBLEM

Do this only if all your apps couldn't open

 1. Create a new local user account
 2. Backup your files there
 3. Remove your account
 4. Re-add your account
 5. Restore your files back
 6. Remove the local user account

PART 4 - SOLVING ANOTHER PROBLEM

Do this only if you have 0x800F0906 error with .NET 3.5 installation

 1. Mount/Plug the Windows 8.1 ISO/USB back
 2. Run Command Prompt as Administrator
 3. Type the following command in the Command Prompt window and hit Enter:
 Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:"Windows 8.1 ISO/USB mount point":\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
  a. For example, if the Windows 8.1 ISO/USB is drive D: the code would look like the following:
Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /SourceSmiley Very Happy:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
