Acer start-up failure

My Acer Aspire AX1200, Running Windows Vista Home Premium, has developed a problem where it will not boot Windows at all. I get the BCOD with an error code now of Stop: 0x00000024 (0x00190444, 0x86068DE0, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000). The system will boot with F8 to recovery and repair, but will not boot up in any safe mode option. When I select "Repair my computer", I get the screen where it tells you that windows failed to start, and to launch startup repair (recommended). This option just loops continuously with no repair options. When I select "Start Windows Normally, the Windows screen appears, then the moving cursor stops after 3 or 4 passes, and the blue screen appears with the above error codes. I am using the boot disk from Acer and this is all that it will do. I can't even get it to boot in any fashion or to safe mode. Any ideas?

1. Does your recovery disc boot?

2. Does any other disc boot?

3. The error code suggest that your HDD is faulty
