Hello! Smiley Happy

I am planning to connect my PS3 to Acer H226HQLbmid using HDMI. As far as I understand, PS3 requires HDCP to watch blu-ray movies and play games. So, does Acer H226HQLbmid support HDCP (HDMI) and HDCP (DVI)?

HDMI and DVI both support HDCP as they are the Digital interface.. Not sure why support says HDMI does NOT support HDCP as they are wrong..

The email that you received is incorrect.

DVI and HDMI on the H226HQL do support HDCP.

It looks like DVI supports HDCP and HDMI doesn't.

As far as I understand you work at Acer, right? Here is the answer from Acer support: http://i.imgur.com/YDxG009.png 11 kb

    It says:

    Spoiler
I would like to inform you that in H226HQLbmid DVI is compactible with HDPC but HDMI is not compactible with HDPC.

I would like to inform you that you can watch blue ray movies on PS3 with this monitor using HDMI connection.

I have confirmed with Taiwan for this model.

The answer that I have provided, twice, is the correct answer.  Another user has also confirmed that it is the correct answer.  I'm not sure why this thread has continued after three answers of the same information.

If you can provide to me, in a private message, the transaction number and transcript from your email or chat, I would be happy to correct the documentation for those technicians.
