Acer M3-581PT cracked digitizer replacement/bezel to take its place

Hey there folks!

I bought an Acer Aspire Timeline M3-581PT on ebay recently, picked it up for pretty cheap because the touch screen is rather cracked in the bottom left. I didn't think this would be a problem, but another crack developed from it that squiggles across the middle of the digitizer. It's not particularly an urgent issue, as the laptop still works fine and the screen is still completely visible.

However! When I attempt to move the screen to close the laptop or open it up, the crack covering the screen presses down slightly onto the LCD display, which is terrifying because I don't want it to break. And its rather unsightly... So, I'm here to ask if anyone could help me find a solution to this issue. The obvious one would be send it in for repairs, but that would be spending far more money than I want to and defeat the point of me buying a cheap laptop, besides, I think the touch screen functionality is more or less just a gimmick and I have zero use for it.

I thought perhaps I could just pick up a replacement digitizer for cheap as possible, but I can't seem to find any. Then I thought, perhaps one of the other M3 series laptops of the same screen size might have some kind of bezel that would fit in place of the digitizer glass, so I could get rid of the unsightly broken glass and not potentially break the LCD!

So, in summary, I would like to know if anyone knows of something I could buy to replace the digitizer with.

I hope all that makes sense Smiley Tongue
