Can I Record sound with external Mic?

Hi Everybody, I´m new here and really need to know something about my Tablet.

 

I would be needing to record audio from an external mic.

Which app should I use?

The jack in my Acer Iconia Tab A500 works for Input audio?

App: Sound Recorder. But you can find more apps on Play Store.

 

For your jack, i'm not sure, but it's only for earphones.

The A500 is build with 2 microphones (recording in AAC-LR and AMR-WB).

but I´m still in need for recording with external mic. Woul you know if the A500 USB port that's host, can be used to record with a mic with usb connector or adapter from mic to usb?
