Wired network adapter not showing up (windows 7 / Acer Aspire V3-772G)

Hello alll,

I have this problem with my wired network adapter, I just got this laptop for a day now and I can't seem to enable the wired network adapter because windows says there aren't any. When I plug the lan cable into the port, the green led lights up, keeps burning and the orange led sometimes flickers. However, I cannot see a wired adapter in windows, I've installed the chipset drivers and everything else, it doesn't seem to work though. Wireless works perfectly.

Can anyone help me with this?

Greetings.

This points heavily do a driver issue, in my opinion. I'm definitely not an expert on drivers, but I've had issues with network drivers before (usually in XP).

How do things look in your Device Manager under Network adapters and PCI Bus? I'm fairly sure the issue could be in one of these two places, so you might ensure thsoe drivers are up-to-date and you have no warnings associated with them. Hopefully, someone more experienced will come along soon, but that might be a good place to start.

Thanks very much for your reply, I should've immediatly looked at it, it seems a driver issue indeed. Drivers seem to be missing, but the LAN drivers are supposed to be in the chipset drivers are they  not?

    Greets.

I have installed  every driver now, yet, no succes.. The driver still seems to be missing/not installed. same goes for the USB controller driver. The drivers are also made for windows 8 I don't know if that has anything to do with it? Since I'm currently on windows 7.

Alright, so it seems that acer does NOT support Windows 7 with the V3-772G.. Worst support ever.. Now I have to use Windows 8 which I find very user unfriendly.. + Windows 8 isn't supported for some programs I need to use..
