My aspire 7535 started acting up a couple days ago. When I clicked on a program it would load it several times and start to flicker. I tried to do a system restore and it won't let me even click on it with out going off and on. If I restart computer and press f8 the screen doesn't stay available long enough to click any of the topics

Try doing a recovery from out of Windows.

Restart your computer and as soon as you see the Acer logo press and hold shift (don't let go at all) and start tapping on the F12 button. Keep doing this until you see a white progress bar on your screen. If you don't see it you'll have to try again.

    Take care,

All it wants to do is show the microsoft logo and it looks like it is loading files but instead it goes to the start up repair and just blinks and then says it can not repair automaticly.

It looks like it's loading files? Does that mean you see the bar that says loading files or are you assuming that it is based on loading time. If you see the Windows is loading files message and it fails it means that you have an issue with your recovery partition and possibly the hard drive. If you don't see the message it could still mean the partition is corrupt or you didn't hit the buttons properly.

Try holding ALT before turning on the unit, pressing the power button and immediately tapping on the F10 key. Don't let go of ALT and don't stop tapping F10 for about 30 seconds to be sure you don't miss the window.
