Revo L80 WLAN chipset

Have just pre-ordered one of these:

It's the Intel Celeron 887 model with no pre-installed OS. Does anyone know what the exact chipset for the "n" WLAN will be? Looks like the Acer support website supplies Atheros drivers for the Windows versions of the R80, but there are hundreds of Atheros chipsets - just interested to know what its exact capabilities are in terms of MIMO, data rates per channel etc...

    Good day

Use the updated Wlan driver: http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=4574

Thanks, I already knew that it was an Atheros chipset, but was interested if anyone knew which one exactly it is - there are lots of variants all with differing features...

In case anyone else cares, my RL80 arrived recently, and I can report that the WLAN card contains an Atheros AR9462.

This gives a,b,g and n capabilities with 2x2:2 MIMO configuration (it connects to my router at the maximum supported 144Mbps - but if you're lucky enough to have a 300N access point, it should be able to connect to it at 300Mbps).

For Linux users, it is supported by the ath9k kernel module/driver and is detected automatically and works out of the box with zero fiddling required on Ubuntu 12.10 (wish I could say the same for the Intel HD graphics which only works with the VESA driver, but that's another matter!)
