Full recovery still on 9% after more than 5 hours - Acer Predator G3620

I am really confused. I have just opened the box with my new Acer Predator G3620. As I made a mistake at the installation, I decided to run a full recovery, as I imagined it could not take very long on a new system. But if the recovery continues to run at that speed (2% per hour), then it will take more than 2 days to complete.
Is there any solution / patch to this issue?
Can I interrupt the recovery without problems and how should I do it?
More about my Acer Predator G3620:
Processor:Intel Core i7-3770 (3.40-3.90GHz)
RAM: 16 GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz, max 32GB
Harddisk:2000GB HDD 7.200rpm + 128GB SSD SATA3
OS: Windows 8 64 bit
---------
After 5.5 hours I pushed the button but found out that I should never have done that. Then it just re-started the recovery process from 0% and apparently at the same slow speed.
---------
Please help - I am stuck!

I would suggest just doing the normal recovery instead of the full.  It doesn't take as long.

Full encompases the entire HDD, which can take a while, especially if you have a large drive.
