WiFi problems with S3-391 - USB ports held responsible?

I bought this computer 10 days ago. It came with Win 8. After some days of struggling with the WiFi issue, I have just discovered that the WiFi problem starts as soon as I plug in any USB device. It seems that it is definitely an energy issue.

I downloaded the latest drives for WiFi because it wasn´t working either with v75 (as recommended in some sites, but what is the point on using a very old drive to fix this problem??) The problem is that I cannot plug the external HDD I have with all the files I must transfer to this new computer if I want to keep my network connection... Seems odd... The technician at my workplace told me that "well, you will just not be able to transfer your files while browsing the internet". Some answer... Both things SHOULD work together, right?

I had a sudden "freezing" of the computer when I plugged an external mouse to the USB connection. I needed to restart with the power button, and I was most surprised when everything started as if nothing happened, not a warning, nothing at all.

Please if there is a solution to this issue let me know. I really tried everything that has been posted to solve the problem with no success.
