My Acer Iconia w510 was connected to my wifi network and when I turned off my tablet and turned it back on it is saying that my network adapter on my tablet is having a hardware/software issue.

I read that updating the drivers will help fix this but I can't download them as I got the tablet without the dock. any suggestions to got the internet back on and working? ps (going to the charms and clicking pc settings and wireless does not give me an option to toggle my wifi anymore)

Dock is not needed for downloading and installing drivers.

May need to go to Device Manager, find the wireless adapter, & see if a trouble is recorded. If there is try disabling/enabling it.

If it looks good in device manager, go to network adapters and see if the wireless is enabled. If not then enable it.

If that looks good then it should appear in the tray and clicking should find local netorks.

ps make sure "airplane mode" is not turned on.
