Help wake up monitor from sleep

I received an old out of warranty Gateway monitor that WORKS, but it is often difficult to wake from sleep.

 

I do not have a manual for it and cannot find it because I think the series is out of production; the model number on the unit reads: LP2407, with a 2007 date of production. Product number reads FPD2485W and I cannot find either number anywhere on the Gateway site. The serial number even comes up invalid when I try to submit this same series of questions to Gateway directly.

 

Can someone advise me via email?

Well like the old saying "Dr. it hurts when I do this... Dr. "Then dont do that" I would advise not putting the PC to sleep
