Acer X1200 Won't ?

I'm working on a Aspire X1200 , Vista Home premium . My grandkids spilled stickies on it !! Anyway I restored using a Gateway/emachine recovery discs . Everything works well except it didn't install ethernet controller , sm bus controller , pci simple comm controller and coprocessor . I have the drivers on a disc but the cdrom won't read the disc when inserted while trying to reinstall drivers in DM , it hangs up until I eject the disc . I put a dvd in and it played fine . Disc can be read by other computer . So whats going on ? Can't connect without ethernet .

Try to transfer the ethernet drivers to / from a flash drive to your computer to get it connected to the internet, then you can update all the other drivers.
