Odd pops in W3 sound

Being hearing impaired I use an external amp for my headphones. Was suprised when connected to the W3 (to test the 64GB microSD card) and it gave about three seconds of music and a pop/dead space. Sometime five seconds of music.

All I can think of is some sort of a/c mismatch since just the headset is fine. Can connect amp to headphone jack in my HDMI adapter and it works just fine(shows up in device manager as a second audio output set of speakers) so suspect some sort of capacitive buildup.

Anyone else notice this if connecting the W3 headphone jack to an external amp/TV ?

BTW the 64GB card worked just fine (now that I have a real one), put the music I was playing near the end of the disk and had NP.

Interesting. I just ran the W3 audio out through my KVM and the pops are gone. Sound is clearer than through the HDMI, any idea why this should be ?
