I can't remove the bezel

Hello. I tried to find the best forum page to post this question and I might have got it wrong but please forgive me if I do for I am new to this website. I have a very important question to ask the acer community. My laptop (only about a year old) has recently fallen from the coffee table onto the carpet and shattered the screen (terrible luck, right?), and I need to replace the screen. Rather than go to a repair shop I would preferr replacing the screen myself and save money by not having to pay labor charges. My acer laptop is an Aspire V3-771G and I would like to know how to remove the bexel (the plastic protective cover surrounding the screen on the front). Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

What bad luck indeed to break the screen. Removing the bezel could cause more damage and is best done by a technician.

Be it your laptop is under warranty or not, Acer standard warranty does not cover damage repair. To have your unit repaired it is strongly suggested you have this done by a technician or send it in to Acer for the out of warranty/damage repair fee of US$249+applicable taxes if you are in the US or Canada.

There may be other fees in other regions I would not know.
