Acer 5733Z battery not charging

Hi everyone

I have a less than 6 months old Acer Aspire 5733Z.  Worked like a dream up until yesterday afternoon.  I always have the laptop plugged in to the mains, but then it stopped charging.  The orange light wouldn't show on the front of the machine 100% of the time, but then if I 'jiggled' the power cord, it would come back for a bit, until I moved!  Would it be safe to say its either the power cord from the machine to the bit where it attaches to the cord that goes to the plug or possibly even the jack at the side of the machine may be loose?

Appreciate any and all advice.

Cheers!

If the jack is loose, it should wiggle easily. It sounds like your power cord needs replacing.

I got a replacement power cord this morning and it turns out that was the problem!  Thanks for the advice!
