W510 low sound volume when playing videos

I have an Iconia W510 with Windows 8. When I play videos that I download through XBox Video, the sound is very low even with speaker volume at 100.

 

After searching the web, I came across suggestions that there should be an "Enhancements" tab in the "Speakers Properties" dialog. That tab contains a few options that increase volume. Unfortunately on my W510 the "Enhancements" tab is missing from the "Speakers Properties" dialog.

 

After searching the web more, I saw posts that supposedly "Enhancements" tab may be missing because the driver blocks it. I tried reinstalling drivers from the Driver Pack I downloaded from Acer Support site, but that didn't help.

 

Did anybody experience a problem with low sound volume and if so how did you solve it?
