Hi New Member here,

I bought a Acer 1261P and I did not get a Disk with the Projector.. I am looking for the EDID file so I can change the default monitor in Device manager to the 1261P..

Right now I have a Generic PNP Monitor selected in device manager and thought that having the EDID file there would help with the syncing issues I am having with nVidia 3D Vision..

IT goes in and out of sync every 30 seconds or so and is very distracting.. I thought becaue it does not have the correct EDID model there in device manager under Monitors this is causing some issues..

I looked on the Acer website but no such file exists.. IF Windows automatically finds this EDID for Device manager it did not find it so I need to manually add it..

I have Windows 7 64bit..I use the 314.07 nVidia drivers..

Thank You

Gerald'

how would you use EDID file? it is not driver file, it is for the projector

sounds like you need driver for projector for Windows to find

generic pnp monitor.jpgwell yes a file or driver whatever it is I would like Windows 7 64bit in device manager site the Proper Projector instead of using the Genneric Plugn n Play monitor..

I seen elsewhere there is a program that does this but I can not get it to recognise my Projector it recognises my unconnected/uninstalled Matrox TripleHead 2 go unit???
