Chances are the wrong copy of Windows is installed, or the drive was swapped from a pavillion dv6 without being wiped. Either way you need to wipe the drive before you're able to use the recovery disks. To do this you either need to plug the drive into another computer as a slave drive (secondary), delete any partitions and format as NTFS or you need to download a Linux live cd and delete the partitions and format the drive from there. This way the recovery disks will have the whole hard drive to work with and there isn't a chance of them not having enough space. Unless of coure your HDD is incredibly small for some reason.
