Why is the hard drive inside the system?

I have been googling how to replace an Acer v5 touch Internal HDD and wondering why Acer has inserted the hard drive inside the machine instead of the back where there normally located.

Thanks,

Did you want help removing it or are you actually asking why it's inside the machine?

I would remove it so I can upgrade to A SSD but by the looks of it may void the machines warranty so I just wait or get it done professionally.

Yes I'm askiing why it is inside the machine just curious.

    Thanks.

Well I can tell you it doens't void the warranty, it's just that you would have to replace it with the original HDD assuming anything goes wrong (dead mobo, graphics adapter). If you break something while changing it then yes you would no longer be covered under warranty.

While the thing is in the system it's not ridiculously hard to replace, from the look of it they either made it that way to keep the noise of the spinning disc down or they did it to make it more difficult to change.

    Ok Thanks.

So will opening the back void the warranty? Thought it would since it does rip the void stickers once its has been opened.

I would like to upgrade a few things but no if its going to void any warranty.

    thanks
