Iconia B1-a71 - Storgage Running out - but space is there????

Hi 

 

My Iconia with the latest updates is reporting that there is no storage available to update or install new apps on the internal storage.  It says that there is only 27MB available when (216MB used) when looking at Settings->Storage.  

 

But when I look at Settings->Apps it says that Internal storage is using 238MB,  with 765MB free. 

 

Please help,  I cannot install any new apps, or update the old ones.  

 

This tablet is not rooted and is running stock rom.

That is odd.  Could you post some screen shots of what you are seeing for us, please?

 

Have you attempted to do a hardware reset on the system or software reset?  Just to see if it changes the behavior?

Based on additional information I've been looking at, the "real" amount of storage is calculated using Settings -> Storage.

So yes, you are out of available space and would need to remove some applications if you would like to install additional ones.

Sorry about that @Tommy, but there's a SDCard drive on this tablet, no?

So it's possible to transfer some of apps on this SDCard (Settings - Application - SDCard and choose apps).

Nota: it's not possible for all apps, but for most of games it's a good solution for free space.
