How do I UNupdate drivers...Acer Laptop

I did an update on my audio drivers. I dont know how to find the setting though or reset the guage. Video is fine, its just audio is not being picked up enough through the built in laptop microphone.

My webcam has a built in microphone. It would record audio very well from distances etc, now even if I am right up next to it, it is barely hearable, I believe due to the driver update.

Is there a way to un-update the driver and go back to what I orginally had. I used the driver from the acer website.

You may find you simply need to adjust your levels.

However, if you want to remove the driver update:

    Go to 'Device Manager'.

    Double click the audio driver.

    Click the 'Driver' tab.

    Click 'Roll Back Driver'.

(You may still have to adjust your levels.)

If I manually set the microphone setting to 100% or close, when i go to click record on my webcam it blacks out and doesnt record anything.

Thats the problem with setting microphone volume manually. The webcam blacks out.

It will be greyed out when Windows doesn't hold an earlier version which suggests you have simply installed the same driver.
I can only see one driver available for download (UK site) for your model.
You could try uninstalling the driver and then do a fresh install and see whether that corrects the problem.
