As for the method no. 2 - at Acer Support website I can see only the driver that is currently installed on my laptop (the lates version). I can't locate the previous one.

With a computer that old your best bet is ,likely one of the third party sites that have archives drivers for the model. The BIOS is very unlikely to be the problem though. You say ti won't power off or restart. Those are separate actions, so may not be related. As assume by 'won't power off' you mean that in Windows you ask for a shutdown and something hangs?

That was not the question. As desrcibed either way as media key or function key, no function of F1 - F12 was given. Also "fn"+F7, "fn"+F8, "fn"+F12 and the alternative function for "del" not working. These are ACER keyboard specific function eg. sniping tool ("fn"+F12).
Only updating to BIOS V.1.15 made F Keys work.

Go to Windows settings and choose option Update and Security.
Click search Updates (also comulative Updates, simply all thinks with updatu you will find). Click "Show Otional Updates" and choose item with "Bluetooth".
Reset computer after downloading and installing all updates.
After this procedure Bluetooth worked again in my case (Bluetooth button is back and my BT mouse works again).

– The BIOS version 1.08 dated 2025/02/14 includes an update to Intel's ME firmware. You can download it directly from Acer's support page:

– For the IRST driver, there's no need to install it. Just unzip the package and copy the extracted driver folder to the same USB stick that contains your Windows ISO. This ensures the installer can load the storage driver during setup without modifying your current system.

The monitor worked using a VGA cable fine but for some reason the VGA cable and DP adapter didn't work even though it worked on a test monitor.
Thanks for reporting back. I suspect your D2A signal converter wasn't quite analog enough quality for the 2009 vintage monitor to properly interpret. A passive HDMI2DVI adapter might've done the job though.
