Look at the back of your laptop if you have the PHN16-71 or PHN16-72 model, go to the Acer Support site for your model and download Bios version 1.18 for PHN16-71 (Acer server is down at the moment, try again later) or version 1.17 for PHN16-72 (server is working). Forget about entering the SNID, just use the model number to download drivers etc.

Getting back to you:

I successfully personally installed an additional 1TB SSD NV3 on my PHN18-72.
The second SSD slot is hidden under the edge of the RAM padding as shown in the picture, just a simple lift of the edge of the padding reveals the second slot.
Seems some technicians are not qualified for such tech.

Please confirm if you notice anything unusual with the installation, otherwise this concludes our discussion.
