Re: Refresh rate on Predator Helios Neo 16S AI PHN16S-71-98RF while on battery.
That is not the case with the previous Predator Helios Neo models of either the PHN16-71 or the PHN16-72 models. As your PHN16S-71-98RF model laptop should have the same settings too.
Acer community can't tell you exactly of any upcoming updates, you will have to consult Acer Tech Support in your country, as Acer community has no ties and/or affect on what Acer does with their design or updates of bios versions. But I'm sure that Acer does look and takes notes of what community members problems have and what you have outlined here about this new PHN16S-71 laptop, as the 240Hz refresher rate should be able to be changed to the lower 60Hz refresher rate to save battery power. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Re: my NoteBook ONE 10 model N16H1on CloudReady does not detect the wifi. Screen stays frozen on wifi
Hi TROUIS,
To resolve the frozen Wi-Fi screen and lack of detection on your Acer Notebook ONE 10 running CloudReady, try a simple restart of the device. If the issue persists, you'll likely need to manually install the correct Wi-Fi drivers for your specific hardware, as CloudReady may not have them built-in. You can find these drivers on the Acer support website by searching for your exact model number, then download and install them to restore Wi-Fi functionality.
Troubleshooting Steps-
1. Restart the Device:
The simplest solution is often a full restart of your Chromebook. Shut it down completely and then turn it back on to see if the Wi-Fi adapter is detected.
2. Find and Install Correct Drivers:
Since CloudReady is a Linux-based OS, it may lack the necessary drivers for your hardware.
Identify your full model number: The "N16H1" is not enough information. Look for a full model number, likely on a sticker on your device.
Visit the Acer Support Website: Go to the Acer support page and search for drivers for your exact model number.
Download the Wi-Fi Driver: Download the correct wireless driver that is compatible with CloudReady or Linux.
Install the Driver: Once downloaded, install the driver to enable the Wi-Fi functionality.
3. Consider a USB Wi-Fi Dongle:
If installing the driver is too complex or doesn't work, a USB Wi-Fi dongle that is compatible with CloudReady is another hardware solution.

Re: my NoteBook ONE 10 model N16H1on CloudReady does not detect the wifi. Screen stays frozen on wifi
OK, so it looks like that SKU is a S1003-17ER. That is part of the Switch model line, from 2016. It is a Windows computer, not a Chromebook, which is likely why it doesn't like trying to install the ChromeOS. It shipped with Windows 10 from the factory. It will not boot from a SD card, but should boot from a flash drive in a USB port. You will need to use an OTG (On The Go) cable to convert the USB-A for a flash drive to microUSB for the S1003, or else have the keyboard attached and use the USB-A port on it. With the install USB installed, boot to the BIOS and use the Boot menu to select a USB EFI device as your boot target and it should come up into the installer. You likely only have a 32GB eMMC drive, so don't plan on installing a lot of stuff, though you can make more room for data by putting a SD card in.
