After a Windows reset on your Acer Swift GO 16 (SFG16-72T-71UL), the camera may stop working because necessary drivers were removed or security settings were reset. Reinstalling the camera driver and checking privacy settings should fix the issue.
1. Check for a physical camera shutter
Your Swift Go 16 may have a physical camera shutter or a dedicated hotkey to disable the camera. Look for a small sliding switch on the bezel directly above the camera lens. Slide it to the open position. If your keyboard has an F key with a camera icon on it, press it to toggle the camera on or off. You may also need to hold down the Fn key.
2. Run the Windows troubleshooter
Windows can often diagnose and automatically fix camera issues.
Navigate to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
Find Camera in the list and select Run.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
3. Check camera privacy settings
A Windows reset often revokes app permissions, which can block the camera.
Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
Ensure that Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned On.
Scroll down to Let desktop apps access your camera and make sure it is also turned On. This is required for applications like Teams and Zoom.
4. Reinstall the camera driver
A reset can sometimes remove or corrupt the specific camera drivers needed by your laptop. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager. Expand the Cameras or Imaging devices section. Right-click your camera (it may be labeled "User Facing") and select Uninstall device. If prompted, do not check the box to delete the driver software.

Much more likely you just have hit the key that turns it off. There are a bunch of different SFG14 models. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SFG14-xxx-xxxx. On most the touchpad toggle is either Fn.F10 or F10 by itself. Depends on whether you are in media or function key mode…

It’s best to stop using the old Calibration/Optimization and battery charge limiting tools. In Windows 11 24H2 these features no longer function correctly and can actually interfere with Modern Standby, causing unexpected behavior.
Acer has also removed the battery charge limiting option from the latest firmware and support programs, so it’s no longer officially available.
There is also no real benefit in limiting battery charging. The idea that keeping the battery below 100% significantly extends its lifespan is largely a myth. Modern lithium‑ion batteries are designed to handle being fully charged, and Acer’s firmware already manages charging safely. The most practical approach is simply to leave the USB‑C charger or power adapter plugged in 24/7 and allow the battery to charge to 100% at all times.

I tried it again and it worked for a couple of minutes before it got hot again.
