Thanks very much Jack and I'm sorry to have been such a pain. I was about to give up but decided instead to remove the other side panel. Surprise surprise when I did I found two drive bays with two power cables. I had and SDD drive here so I connected that and it worked so I'm a happy man now.
I had spoken to ACER support about this and they told me there weren't any cables and didn't even mention the drive bays just sent a pic of the cable I need and a drive bay I could purchase. The cable they sent a pic of is nothing like the correct one and the drive bays hidden away but are there already.

We can't advise you on how to flash your product as its the forum rules not to do so. But Acer still has support for your model Acer Iconic One B3-A40 and its Android 7 OS image updates, so look at the Acer Drivers and Manuals page and get all the guides and images from there for this tablet. Otherwise take your tablet to either Acer tech support or to a smartphone tech that can reflash your Android tablet for you. Good luck and hope this helps you out to revive this old 2017 tablet.
Just to assist you further, here is the service guide of the Acer Iconic One B3-A40 as its got an update guide there, so follow that and see if your can reflash the OS rom and revive this tablet to work.

Me too. Just a few weeks ago, I was able to download Predator Sense and all the drivers from the same link, but now only the firmware and documents remain, and all the other things have disappeared.
