Hi, posting the model number of the laptop would help verifying if the USB-C port supports Alt-mode/video out or is just for data transfer.

Re: Acer Swift Go 14 AI [ Snapdragon X Plus ] webcam not working
After going through all forum posts on the series, I have found the below, discussing facial-recognition. Which also did no longer work for me. After performing the steps described as the solution in said post, I was able to get things running again.
A true shame Acer support didn't help at all. They just requested me to send it in. Took me weeks to sort this out.
Hopefully this can help you guys too.
Re: Acer Swift Go 14 AI [ Snapdragon X Plus ] webcam not working
Update: Called acer support after trying every fix I could . And trust me the experience was terrible.
The guy came, and he had no idea of what Windows Arm is. He was trying to reinstall windows X86, after trying drivers (@lim1029 updating the drivers worsened the situation, broke sound as well). Literally they were blaming secure boot, as a reason for the unbootable Windows Installer pendrive.
And I'm supposed to trust them, with my device!
Then he took the device to service centre, saying that I'll get it back the next day.
Next day I received a call, asking my microsoft id and password( they probably reinstalled windows, but did not had a microsoft account for setting up and testing the device )
Then they asked me whether the cam was working, when I bought it.
Today is day 3 , I just called them for an update. They have ordered a replacement cam now, which will take probably a week (3 days in best case scenario).
End Result : It has been 5days now, my schedule and meetings, and will probably take a week more. Mind you, this is a "premium laptop" from the company [ Cost - INR 107000 ].
Fun Fact : I have to leave the city by month end, and I'm not sure whether I'll get my device back, by then or not.
Regretting not going for mac!
Re: Refurbished Acer AG15-31P-3947 has no network driver- stuck on "Let's connect you to a network"
@Puraw Okay the model number is AG15-31P-3947. (What I meant by Acer Support was chatting with someone from Acer, not access to drivers. Chat support is no longer an option for this computer, apparently.)
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I go to the support link you sent, I get one result for someone else's issue (unrelated), and when I go direct to the drivers and manuals page, I get "Access Denied."
As I said before, I was able to get to the drivers page with the SN, but my computer did not like the available driver (I received the error message "the style of .inf is different than what was expected." when attempting to add it.) See screenshot- I tried both of these wireless LAN drivers
Re: My Predator Helios neo 14 completely black screen whenever I plug in the charger
Start by performing an EC reset. Shut down the laptop, unplug the charger, and hold the power button for 30 seconds to clear any residual power, then reconnect the charger and power it on. Next, visit Acer’s official support website, enter your exact model number, and download the latest BIOS, chipset, and power management drivers to ensure your system firmware is up to date. Lastly, confirm that you're using the original Acer charger.

Re: how do I find a driver that fails to update so that I can fix
Hi chez0403
You should avoid using any driver updater utilities — they can install incorrect or generic drivers, and in some cases even corrupt your Windows installation.
To remove PC HelpSoft:
- Open the Settings app (gear icon in your Start menu).
- Go to Apps → scroll down and locate PC HelpSoft.
- Select it, then choose Uninstall.
Be aware it may not remove itself cleanly; remnants can stay behind in the registry and may interfere with normal processes (including telemetry).
Stick to Windows Update (including Optional updates) or your OEM’s support page for safe driver and BIOS updates.
