Re: Nitro n50-120 TPM problem. Says I don't have the proper support for TPM 2.0. If anyone knows a fix for it?
Hi Waldo_98,
Your Nitro N50‑120 is showing the TPM 2.0 error because the AMD fTPM firmware version in your BIOS is 3.x.0.x, which fails the attestation check used by Call of Duty and now also enforced in Windows 11 24H2. AMD’s own documentation states there is no workaround for this and that a motherboard firmware update is required.
Acer’s support page for the Nitro N50‑120 lists BIOS R01‑C3 from 2021 as the latest available. This predates Windows 11 24H2 and does not include the newer AMD AGESA module needed to update the fTPM firmware. Without a newer BIOS from Acer, the TPM attestation issue will remain.
The only path to resolution is for Acer to release a BIOS update that includes the updated AMD fTPM firmware. You can check for updates here:
If no update is posted, the next step is to contact Acer support directly and reference the AMD fTPM 3.x.0.x attestation requirement.

Re: Nitro n50-120 TPM problem. Says I don't have the proper support for TPM 2.0. If anyone knows a fix for it?
Hi Waldo_98,
This problem has been raised many times in different tech forums by Acer AMD system owners, with the common theme being outdated AGESA firmware and Acer’s reluctance to release updated BIOS versions. Other brands have issued updates for the same CPU generations, but Acer has left many models without a fix.
At this point, the only realistic path forward is to escalate it directly to Acer staff. You can try contacting one of the community moderators who represent Acer:
- https://community.acer.com/en/profile/William-Acer
Or use Acer’s live chat support (available even out of warranty in some regions):
The more users who raise the AGESA update issue through official channels, the more likely it is to get attention.
