Swift Go 14 SGF14-63-Query regarding Upgradable possibilities.
Hi, i have the swift go 14 sfg14-63 AMD Ryzen 7 8845hs, 16gb ram and 512gb rom laptop. I was wondering if the storage is upgrade-able (so far, I think it is) and if anyone is kind enough to let me know what type of SSD I should get. Also, can I add an SSD greater than 512gb on the empty slot?

If it works well on the HDD, try cloning the HDD to the SSD, then swapping them. You will need an external case to do that smoothly, so they can both be connected at one time. External cases aren't very expensive though, and can be useful even after you complete this process. Put the SSD in the case and connect it to the computer. Start the clone app you choose and use it to cone the existing HDD to the SSD, allowing it to only change the size of the system partition (C:). When complete, look at the SSD using Disk Management and compare it to the HDD. They should have the same partitions with only the one a different size. Shut down, take out the HDD and install the SSD, then turn it back on. You should be up and running with everything the same as you had it before, except much faster and with more room.

Hi,
Yes, it's backward compatible and will work in your laptop but it will run at Gen 3 speeds only, so you will not get the full speeds of Gen 4.

i would still use an external monitor at home even if my laptop monitor is fixed, but the issue is on the go since carrying multiple displays is a bit of a hassle with weight and cable when im outside (ex. Cafe or client meeting) but other than that i have no issues.

Thanks for your answer, the code helped narrow down the search and I was unable to find the display cable online both in my country or Asia. i have seen the listing on eBay but the price is a bit out of my hand.
Regarding the acer support. it was an authorized one, they were kind and explained to me why they were unable to fix my laptop as it was old and the part i need for the laptop were not available anymore.
I am currently using my external monitor as a replacement at home and my graphic tablet as an external when I'm outside. Thank you for your suggestions GAMING6698

No, you have to find out how many pins the EDP connector has in this laptop and buy the compatible cable. There are adapters to convert 40-30 pin so no big deal if the wrong one is bought but better check the connector type first. 😉

It's SF314-54 model. Now it makes sense, it has onboard RAM.
Yep, nothing happens when I press the power button while the little LED on the side still lit up when plugged in.

Battery's own internal charge sensor/regulator seems to be failing. It's reporting an unstable full charge capacity . Earlier ~74 Whr. Now ~84. You can try manual re-calibration of its sensor by letting it run down unplugged to about 5%, then see if it'll charge back up to 100% or ~84 Whr.

Update the bios from your old 1.15 version to the new 1,18 as that has some fixes for the gpu and boot to make this laptop perform better also.
