Re: In PredatorSense after replacing a new CPU fan it is showing at 0 rpm
Hi @SaturoXD I understand the fan is working, but the RPMs aren't showing up in Predator Sense. Is this correct?
If so, is the fan an original Acer fan or an equivalent model?
Try the following first: Settings - Apps - Installed apps - select Predator Sense - Advanced options. Repair first; if that doesn't fix the problem, reset.
Re: 4 Month Old Swift SFG14-74 Laptop Dies When Unplugged, Battery Stuck at 75%
DO NOT waste your time with bios updates or all these resets, as if your NEW "SFG14-74 Laptop Dies When Unplugged" then fixing and calibrating the battery is a very complex process and you need special tools, have a look HERE at a very good guide of how to fix a battery that has locked up and its fuse has melted, as the problem is internally. DO NOT open the laptop either if its under warranty, let the Acer Techs Support fix this laptop for you, as new laptop should not be turning off when the adapter is unplugged.
Re: Acer Switch 7 SW713-51GNP No HDD after Windows update : I got a no bootable device message
There are a couple of possibilities, but with the BIOS showing no drive it's pretty much narrowed down to the drive has failed. It's a bit of a pain to get the Switch 7 Black Edition apart, but once apart replacing the drive isn't too difficult. The drive is an M.2 form factor SATA drive and the design is just old enough that the newer NVMe drives aren't supported. You can use whatever size you prefer for the drive itself, there is no practical limit, other than your pocketbook.
At that point you have access to the SSD, which is shown on that last image between the big copper shield and the heat pipe (small rectangular white label on the top of the drive). Note that the drive can only be one form factor, a 2242 or 2260, measure to be sure. The more common 2280 drives will not fit the space.

Re: What is my best ssd option for Acer Predator Orion 7000?
Hi EastSideCMD
The Predator Orion 7000 provides three PCIe slots for NVMe Gen4 SSDs, each supporting capacities up to 8TB with no imposed limit. For desktop reliability and sustained performance, a very solid choice is the Samsung 990 Pro Gen4 NVMe SSD, especially the version with the large heatsink for optimal thermal management.

Re: Spatial labs suddenly stopped working, reinstalling doesn't fix it. Been using the psv27-2 for over a year.
Hello @Psilocy,
Where the SpatialLabs Experience Center shuts down immediately after a brief launch—is often caused by a version mismatch or a "USB handshake" failure, even if the cable seems physically fine.
Try these specific fixes that have resolved similar crashes:
- Perform a "Clean" Version Rollback.
Many users reported that the latest OTA (Over-the-Air) update caused immediate crashes on the PSV27-2.
Uninstall all current SpatialLabs software (Experience Center, TrueGame, Go) via your Windows "Installed apps".
Go to the Acer Support Site and download SpatialLabs Experience Center Professional v1.2.529 (or the previous stable version listed for your model).
Important: After installing, ignore or decline any prompts to update the software until the launch issue is confirmed fixed.
- Reset the Monitor's Internal "Handshake".
Even if the cable hasn't moved, the monitor's internal eye-tracking cameras can get stuck in a "disconnected" logic state.
Unplug the monitor's power cord and the USB-B/USB-C data cable from your PC.
Press and hold the monitor's power button for 30 seconds while it's unplugged to discharge static.
Plug everything back in but use a different USB port on your PC (preferably a direct motherboard port on the back, not a front-panel port or hub).
- Check Windows Display Scaling.
An unusual bug causes SpatialLabs apps to crash or fail to launch if the Windows Display Scale is set to specific "non-standard" percentages.
Right-click your desktop > Display settings.
Ensure "Scale and layout" is set to a standard value like 150% or 200%.
Avoid settings like 175% or 225%, as these have been verified to cause JavaScript errors and app crashes on the PSV27-2.
- Verify Camera/Sensor Privacy.
The app may shut down if it cannot access the eye-tracking sensors due to Windows security.
Go to Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
Ensure Camera access is "On" and that the "SpatialLabs" apps are allowed to use it.

Re: I bought a new laptop they Ask password
If your new laptop is asking for a password, it's likely the previous user didn't fully clean it up before selling or it might be a factory-set default password. If you have the documentation or manufacturer's website, you can find a default password. If not, a factory reset (which will erase all data) or a clean install of the operating system may be necessary.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential causes and solutions:
- Previous User's Account and Password:
The laptop might still have an existing user account with a password set by the previous owner.
If you bought it used, the previous user may not have fully removed their account before selling it, and their password might be required. - Factory-Set Default Password:
Some manufacturers set a default password for the administrator account on new laptops.
You can check your laptop's documentation or the manufacturer's website for information about default passwords.

Re: Attempted to boot brand new acer SFG14-73T-75FA from a USB drive, it refused to recognize the drive.
Don't underestimate corp mafia trickery. Here is an example, in this case - lenovo:
I did research and found that some users report that Linux install hangs but in my case the drive wasn't even detected. To clarify, I used the very same drive to install Kubuntu on my old "scratch" Lenovo Yoga 700 with no issues. Obviously, there is nothing wrong with the drive and everything wrong with acer.
Apparently, "newer" and "new/the latest" are not necessarily synonyms, and that's exactly my goal - warn potential buyers about acer/ms games. I suggest buying from Costco so that you can return it when run into a problem. I ordered a Lenovo laptop instead, and it arrives today. Will see…
