Thanks @JackE, yeah went today, some times the product id is confusing as there are several models with same name, strangly it worked fine for 5 days and I did not use it for 2 days due to illness. and it would not turn on to any avail. the store owner told me he had the same one and its perfect. acer has great warranty 3 years. the seller gave me store credit and I opted for another monitor if another brand as there were no more acer units sadly, it seems this model has faulty units but acer is now selling version 3 of this monitor model.

If purchased new, return it to the vendor as defective for a refund or exchange pronto before the ventor's RMA period expires. Usually only a few weeks. Otherwise you'll be dealing with warranty repair service which'll take longer.

What is the Acer monitors model number, as they are all different and it depends how old it is. We can't give you an accurate answer if you don't give us those details.
