Re: Why does Predator Sense show incorrect CPU frequency after factory reset, but core temp shows normal on PTN16-51 laptop?
Predator Sense may show incorrect CPU frequencies after a factory reset due to outdated drivers, a problematic Predator Sense installation, or interference from other software. To fix this, update your BIOS and Chipset drivers from Acer's support website, uninstall and then reinstall Predator Sense, and check for any software conflicts with tools like Intel XTU or MSI Afterburner. Running a malware scan can also rule out malicious software as a cause.

Re: Old aspire 5740g laptop won't post or BIOS access after failed Zorin OS Install. Need help
Hi thivieus,
A new RTC/CMOS battery is worth trying, as a weak or dead one can prevent POST on older systems. While you wait for the CPU, you could also check a few other angles:
- Disconnect the main battery and AC, hold the power button for 30 seconds to fully discharge, then try powering on with AC only
- Remove all RAM sticks and test with one module at a time in each slot
- Disconnect the hard drive and any non‑essential peripherals to rule out a short or device hang
- Inspect the DC jack and power rail for any looseness or damage
- Reseat the existing CPU and GPU (if removable) and check for bent pins or debris
- Try an external monitor in case the internal panel or cable has failed
- If available, test with a known‑good AC adapter of the correct rating
These steps can help isolate whether the fault is power, memory, display, or board‑level before the new parts arrive.

Re: Aspire TC-885 crashes with RTX 3050 Installed, screen goes blank, PC still running
Use the 650W PSU for stable power supply; 300W is likely inadequate for RTX 3050.
Re: predator Helios neo 16 accidentally sent 12v through one of the usb ports, it shut off instantly and now it won’t turn on
this to me sounds like you might of cooked your board or blown a main fuse but your best option is to send it into acer
