Re: Laptop randomly enters sleep mode. Acer Nitro AN515-57
Start by adjusting the sleep and hibernate settings in the Power Options menu—set both to “Never” for battery and plugged-in modes. Then, disable wake timers to prevent background tasks from triggering sleep. Check the Acer Care Center app and turn off the Battery Charge Limit feature if it’s enabled, as this can interfere with power management. Finally, visit Acer’s official support page to download and install the latest BIOS, chipset driver, and Intel Management Engine Interface for your model.

Re: Laptop randomly enters sleep mode. Acer Nitro AN515-57
Hi Simon,
If you're running Acer Care Center version 4.00.3058 (dated 2025/04/29) alongside NitroSense, they may conflict with the EC firmware in the older 2023 BIOS. To rule this out:
- Disable “Optimizing Calibration” and the 80% battery charge limit in NitroSense
- Uninstall Acer Care Center completely
- Disable Fast Startup in Windows (Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do)
- Go to Advanced Power Settings and set “Sleep after” to 0 minutes (Never) under both battery and plugged-in modes
These steps should help stabilize sleep behavior. Let us know if the issue persists.

Re: does anyone know if acer aspire 3 a315-24p-R7VH supports nvme gen 4 im getting mix advice.
You can upgrade your storage up to 2TB NVMe Gen 3 SSD. Your laptop supports NVMe SSDs but only at Gen 3 speeds. Gen 4 NVMe drives will work, but they’ll operate at Gen 3 performance.

Re: Why does Predator Sense show incorrect CPU frequency after factory reset, but core temp shows normal on PTN16-51 laptop?
Predator Sense may show incorrect CPU frequencies after a factory reset due to outdated drivers, a problematic Predator Sense installation, or interference from other software. To fix this, update your BIOS and Chipset drivers from Acer's support website, uninstall and then reinstall Predator Sense, and check for any software conflicts with tools like Intel XTU or MSI Afterburner. Running a malware scan can also rule out malicious software as a cause.
