Re: Trouble connecting External monitors via USB-C with Lenovo Dock on Acer nitro 5 AN515-55
Hi @Jas99 – The AN515‑55’s USB‑C port is data‑only. No DP Alt Mode, no Thunderbolt, so no video over USB‑C. Use HDMI 2.1, or a USB 3.0 → HDMI/DP adapter with DisplayLink drivers.

Re: Predator PH16-71-Video out over USB is not working, Driver Issue.
😅😅 PROBLEM SOLVED …. by installing first all intel drivers, io tbt4… others then 4080 driver from the website, then the rest …and last the software from website … THEN windows updates as last pulling in more …
and full powerdown reboot after each driver giving windows more time to take in new data i think.
then after i installed as last the updated nvdia driver from the nvdia website (1app not driver)
so i think it was something to do with doing things in a specific order after the fresh windows install.
still not a fan for now of the new 24h2 … BUT i got everything to work just fine for now ..seems less snappy sometimes but that might be because its a holiday happy christmas everyone
tnx
Re: ANV 15-51 DISCHARGING WHILE GAMING (EVERYTHING IS FINE A DID A REPASTE EVERYTHING WORKS WELL)
Thanks @eGomes i think it got worse with a recent BIOS UPDATE, games run smothly on 1.31v BIOS update. I think the laptop only needs 1 or 2 more A to eliminate the problem.
Is there any way to contact the developers or a mailbox where I can send this as a BUG and they can address it? I think it's not that complicated to fix in an update, or this directly depends on the hardware and not the software or BIOS programming.
And again thanks for your response
Re: PO7-640 EB11 Limitations of upgrading Orion Predator 7000?
Hi DavinciResolveuser
GPU upgrade compatibility — PO7‑640 EB11 Your Orion Predator 7000 uses a standard ATX‑style board with PCIe x16 slots, so current‑gen Nvidia RTX 40‑series cards like the RTX 4080 and 4090 are physically compatible and will run, provided you have enough PSU capacity (these GPUs are power‑hungry: ~320 W+ for 4080, ~450 W for 4090). Acer’s higher‑wattage PSU options in this chassis are 800 W and 1200 W — check your current rating before buying.
The “RTX 5070 Ti / 5080 / 5090” models you mentioned don’t exist yet in retail. No specs, power requirements, or dimensions are known, so all we can say is they will almost certainly still use PCIe x16 — but board length, cooler size, and PSU needs are pure speculation until launch.
On running 2 GPUs:
- The PO7‑640 motherboard layout is for a single primary GPU; while a second PCIe slot may exist for add‑in cards, there’s no factory SLI/NVLink support on Ada Lovelace cards (RTX 40‑series). Dual cards would be for compute purposes only, and would require:
- Physical clearance in the chassis for a second triple‑slot cooler.
- Adequate PSU headroom for the combined draw.
- Proper airflow to keep both GPUs within safe thermals.
- This chassis isn’t marketed or thermally profiled for dual high‑end GPUs, so it’s not a plug‑and‑play scenario — you’d be in custom‑mod territory.
Bottom line:
- ✅ Safe bet now: RTX 4080 / 4090, if PSU is sufficient.
- ❌ Not realistic: Dual top‑end GPUs in stock chassis without major mods.
- 🔮 Unknown: RTX 50‑series until official launch info is out.

Re: Acer C22-1610 AIO memory upgradable?
Below is the info:
It support DDR5, you have one slot. so you can remove the 8GB and add a 16GB.

Re: Refurbished Acer AG15-31P-3947 has no network driver- stuck on "Let's connect you to a network"
@eGomes Device manager looks clean. Just doesn't have my wifi adapter. I'll attempt to update via phone, thanks for the idea.

@eGomes Completing setup with my phone tethered did the trick- wifi drivers showed up. Thank you so much!
ANV 15-51 DISCHARGING WHILE GAMING (EVERYTHING IS FINE A DID A REPASTE EVERYTHING WORKS WELL)
I have a nitro v15 anv15 51 i5 13420h laptop with 4050, the problem is that I have already changed the charger for a 180w one and I still have the problem that during gaming sessions it discharges, does someone please have a solution, I think it's all in the bios, the laptop does not draw more current from the charger no matter how much I use it and it's a bit stupid, I've tried everything and nothing works I have to play for a while and then after 2 hours remove the game let it load, I say that the solution is not to throttling I already did repasting the game with the graphics at 56 degrees and the cpu at 75 degrees approximately, with even low consumption it continues to lose charge 30W cpu and 60W graphics, I have to be adjusting the FPS in the games otherwise the laptop literally discharges when connected, it is not a problem of windows optimization nor is it a solution to put it in quiet because then why would I want a gaming laptop if I'm going to be limiting the capacity
I have had many problems since I bought it and few solutions. I am at the point of simply selling it and never buying anything from ACER again.
