Same issue. I think in the past it was working. Acer E 15 E5-575G. Is it supposed to work? Launching Acer Care Center is still working.

Just, die Automatische Aktivierung hat nicht funktioniert.Der Support hat sich via Quick Assist verbunden, und einen Windows Product Key eingetragen.Zuvor hat er sich den UEFI Device ID und Laptop Vendor angeschaut.

If I unplug the power cable on the Labtop the LED switches from amber to black. Good news. It went up to 65%. For the moment I consider it as cable issue on my side.

Update: The Power LED is supposed to be blue when labtop is in AC Mode. Well that LED is not blue but amber.

I found another solution for creating a hotspot. network settings -> mobile hotspot https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/c60dcfa3-c596-41d4-8c1a-b0d738e1d9fd/use-your-pc-as-a-mobile-hotspot I guess I can use some PowerShell scripting to turn that on/off
