The laptop was repaired by Acer. Besides the battery, the mainboard and co. were also replaced. If I don't get in touch with you within the next 4 weeks, the problem was solved and was probably caused by a defective charging electronics. 

Just as an update. During the last months, it happend nearly randomly again and again. It might be connected to a more general issue. As my battery only holds 35% of the initial capacity, I checked with Acer (extended warranty) for a replacement. Parallel to that, I realized just by chance, that the USB-3.0-ports on the…

@egydiocoelho Until now, it happend just once again, but just soon after I've deactivated the fast-boot-option. I'll test it for another 2 weeks and get back with the final result. 

As it happens from time-to-time (but at least once or twice a week), I'll get back sometime next week. At the moment, everything looks rockstable! 

Thanks for pointing me to fast startup, @egydiocoelho. Didn't knew, that it might cause issues. I've deactivated the option and will test it for a moment. Hybrid sleep has been deactivated already. 

I've also recognized that my display is flickering from time to time. In my case, it obviously relates to the power settings. When I've set power settings to "better performance" (just click on the battery symbol) AND when my A/C is plugged-in, then it flickers. Weird thing, so I can run without flickering on battery mode.…

I have the same issue for some reasons with Spin 5, bough 6 weeks ago. A few times it happend when switching to and back tablet mode. But there is no pattern so far.
