4k on HDMI not working with Predator 17x

Hello,

my new Predator 17x with gtx1080 seems not to send 4k signals on HDMI port. My 4k TV reports only FullHD while on the internal display its 4k. Found no adjustments. No problem with the TV with the old leonovo notebook although it supported 30hz 4k only. 

 

Will 4k not be supported by the HDMI? DO I need an adapter for the display port instead?

    Fixed it by: switching down to FullHd, then back to 4k. However. Now works.
