Acer Aspire U5-610 i7; NVIDIA driver; BEX & Appcrash error

Dear Acer community,

on my winodws 8.1 64bit system I cannot run most of my PC games. When starting i.e. Civ 5 I get a BEX error. When deactivating DEP I get an Appcrash error. I could isolate the error to the NVIDIA GeForce driver. When uninstalling the NVIDIA driver I can start the game. As one of my reasons for buying the Acer PC was the GeForce card I would highly appreciate being able to make use of it. I use the Acer driver from the support website from the 2013/09/24 (9.18.13.2049). Your suggestions are highly appreciated!

    Hi, 

     

    I'm facing the same issue with my graphics card. Unable to update via OEM too.

    Same problem here !!
    They are waiting for the drivers for win 8.1
    For now there is no communication between the pc an the GPU with the actual driver you can install the driver for win 8 in compability mod for win8 to activate the nvidia
    But it does not work for all the games !
