to start off all acers come with a microsoft os and it works fine but if you want to try something better something that will utilize your harware better try ubuntu 14.04 i run it on mine and it is rock solid to achieve this all u have to do do is go to a web sit called pendrivelinux.com and go threw the steps before this back up microsoft os just incase u want to go back to load ubuntu from sart to finish on a goog laptop tacks 25 minutes tops and its totally free
