invalid key code for Microsoft office 2010

in 2015 Archives

my acer aspire came with an invalid key code to register microsoft office 2010 and I cannot use it, manufacturer says that acer has to fix it. ACER please respond !!

    acer aspire M9300- USA ; office2010 already installed, with invalid key code to register and use

    You can go and try to update your office version on the official microsoft websight, perhaps online registration will help you.

    microsoft , as stated earlier, says ACER has to resolve this problem as it installed the program but Acer will NOT respond

    Hi,
    If the unit was shipped with MS office starter, the same does not require a Product key,. You should find an option to use Office starter,. the same would provide access to word & Excel with minimal ads(from MS).
    1. Change the File Type Association.

     

    If you have one of Microsoft Office Starter or Microsoft Office Click-to-Run 2010

     

    Ø  Right-click the Microsoft Office file that you want to open.

    Ø  Select Open with, and then click Choose default program...

    Ø  In the Recommended Programs list, select Microsoft Office Client Virtualization Handler.

    Ø  Click to select the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file check box, and then click OK.
