Windows Tablets

As a new user to a Windows 8.1 tablet, I am curious as to how most people use their tablets to maximize the battery time. Do you shut it down completely when not using it or do you let it go to sleep or what?

i treat it like a laptop

switch it off if i'm not using

Im shuting down computer after use.
If there was batter battery i would do that.
